ARRIA NLG SaaS SOLUTIONS — SQM3
SQM3 is developing software that gives retailers a
transformative analysis tool
to optimize the profitability of their stores
SQM3 HAS BEEN DEVELOPED to operate both as a standalone SAAS solution for any retailer with a
turnover in excess of US$10 million, and as a powerful extension to the predominant retail management systems
currently in market – Oracle Retail; Microsoft Retail, etc.
SQM3 will allow retailers to view the layout of their critical sales space in terms of margin contribution, and
’best effect’ for bottom line results. SQM3 will give retailers a strategic real time view of their trading environment,
and allow them to manage profitability by better managing that environment. The retail sector has traditionally
been a laggard in terms of implementing new analytics technologies and reporting. Despite over 83%
of the world trade transactions still occurring within the confines of a physical store, most retail managers retain
little if any data as to the contribution of single SKU’s or categories to their bottom line.
Even the most sophisticated retail chains default to standardizing plan-o-grams and layout schematics in
order to guide store managers. There is a current lack of industry standard solutions that can be used to determine
where to place specific items and item categories to gain the best results within a specific area of retail
space. The question as to where to place which items to maximize returns is often described as the Retailer’s
Dilemma. The methods used by corporate retail chains to arrange products within their retail space remain
heuristic and, at best stilted, in terms of cycle (weekly, monthly and quarterly as opposed to in real time.)
The ERP, CRM and POS systems that most retailers use facilitate good accounting and efficient stock control.
They lack the analytics to solve the dilemma of what to stack where to optimize sales returns in real time. By
combining the processing power of the Cloud with the huge latent storage capacity of Big-Data architecture,
Arria is designing a system that cuts through the mass of reports and systemic fog, to present a real time view
of the retail environment in terms of profitability. For the first time the retail dilemma can be solved graphically
and specifically.
SCALABLE AT A GLOBAL LEVEL WITH A SELF SIGN UP FUNCTION
SQM3 is being built on Oracle’s core cloud infrastructure. This facilitates a
highly available solution that can be deployed wherever there is an internet
connection. SQM3 can stand alone as an SaaS solution that retailers subscribe
to, or can be swiftly integrated into the most common retail management
systems (Microsoft retail, Oracle Retail FE, Opera, IBM POS,
Panasonic POS, MICROS, etc.).
